Former PYD mentee, Ray Grandoit, featured at National Mentoring Month Event
Ray Grandoit, a former PYD mentee, was highlighted at Mass Mentoring Partnership's Forum on Youth Mentoring event on January
30th in honor of National Mentoring Day. At the event, Ray was able to share his successes and the
importance of mentoring and his relationship with his mentor, Judge Reginald Lindsay.
Ray is the Founder and CEO of Ray Grand Apparel, a clothing company.
He used his experience with Partners for Youth with Disabilities and other
organizations such as National Foundation for Teaching Entreprenership
(where he where he received prestigious awards such as, Entrepreneur of the Year and Best
Demonstration of Profitability) to follow his dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Ray says he became motivated through trials and tribulations that took place in his life.
He then decided whether one prevails or fails, one learns from their experiences.
Based upon his knowledge and vision for a brighter future, he decided to own a business.
Therefore when it comes to goals and aspirations the sky is the limit for Ray.

"Strong Relationships with Caring Adults"
As part of a larger multi-pronged effort to enhance and expand

considered to be truly outstanding programs. Working together a
group of eight teens and four adults selected six organizations
to receive "Best Practice Awards." Partners was selected as the
winner in "Strong Relationships with Caring Adults" and will receive
$5,000 at an awards ceremony on March 11 at The Boston Foundation.
These awards are sponsored by a collaboration of The Boston
Foundation and Boston's After School for All Partnership.
